Getting Started
What is peptide therapy? +
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in your body — they tell cells what to do. Peptide therapy uses specific bioidentical or compounded peptides to optimize natural biological processes (appetite regulation, tissue repair, immune signaling, growth hormone axis, libido). It is not hormone replacement therapy.
How does the Flow Wellness program work? +
You start with a free 15-minute consult with our Nurse Practitioner. If a peptide protocol is the right fit, the NP designs your titration schedule and we ship compounded medication from a U.S. partner pharmacy directly to you. Programs run 12 weeks of active dosing + a 4-week maintenance window with weekly or biweekly check-ins via the Jane patient portal.
Is the consult really free? +
Yes — 15 minutes with our NP at no cost, no obligation. If peptide therapy isn't right for you, we'll tell you on the call. No upsell, no pressure.
Do I need a referral or prescription to start? +
No referral needed. Your free consult IS the clinical evaluation that determines whether you're a candidate and which protocol fits. If you are, the NP issues the prescription on the spot.
Pricing & Programs
Pricing & Programs
How much do programs cost? +
Programs range from $400 to $800 per 12-week protocol depending on the peptide(s) used. Pricing is flat-rate — what you pay covers the consult, the medication, the dosing protocol, and weekly/biweekly NP support. No insurance accepted.
What's included in the program price? +
Initial consult with the NP, the compounded medication shipped to your door, the personalized dosing protocol, ongoing clinical support via Jane portal, and dose adjustments throughout. Nothing else added at checkout.
Is anything not covered? +
Lab work (if recommended) is separate — Flow refers you to your PCP or a third-party lab. We don't bill for labs. Beyond that, the program price is the program price.
Do you accept insurance? +
No. Compounded peptide therapy is self-pay. We keep the price flat and predictable instead.
Telehealth & Locations
Telehealth & Locations
Where is Flow Wellness based? +
4535 Southwestern Blvd, Suite 207, Hamburg, NY 14075. In-person visits available there.
Do you do telehealth? +
Yes — across the lower 48 states. Telehealth visits use Jane's HIPAA-compliant video platform.
Can I switch between in-person and telehealth? +
Absolutely. Most of our patients do their initial consult via telehealth and visit the Hamburg clinic only if they want to.
Safety & FDA Status
Safety & FDA Status
Are these peptides FDA-approved? +
Some peptides Flow uses (semaglutide, tirzepatide) have FDA-approved branded counterparts (Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound). What Flow prescribes is compounded — formulated by a U.S. partner pharmacy under Section 503A oversight. Compounded medication is NOT identical to FDA-approved brand medication. Other peptides Flow uses (BPC-157, TB-500, sermorelin, CJC-1295, selank, semax, thymosin alpha-1, glutathione, PT-141) are not FDA-approved for the indications discussed and are prescribed only when clinically appropriate.
Are peptides safe? +
When prescribed and supervised by a licensed clinician, peptides have a well-documented safety profile in the medical literature. Like any medication, side effects are possible. Your NP discusses your specific risk profile before you start, monitors you throughout, and adjusts the protocol if needed. We do not start patients on protocols where the risk doesn't make sense.
What are common side effects? +
Varies by peptide. GLP-1s (Sema, Tirz) most commonly cause mild nausea early in titration. Subcutaneous injections can cause local reactions. Specific side effect profiles are reviewed during your consult. If you experience anything concerning, message your NP immediately via the Jane portal.
Privacy & Records
Privacy & Records
Where is my medical information stored? +
Inside Jane App — HIPAA-compliant, encrypted, BAA-covered. Flow Wellness does not store PHI on this website or in any other system. Your records are yours and you can access them through the patient portal at any time.
Does the Flow Wellness mobile app collect my health data? +
No. The app is a self-care companion that stores protocol scaffolding (start date, dose log) on YOUR device only — no cloud, no account, no PHI transmitted. Clinical messaging happens inside the Jane patient portal, deep-linked from the app.
